Privacy Policy

Who we are

HappyBein is a non-profit foundation based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. We operate the website happybein.com and a suite of tools under the Yeah ecosystem. Contact: contact@happybein.com

What data we collect

We only collect data you voluntarily provide:

• Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter via the form on this site.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify or follow you: it records the page, the referring site, the country and the type of device and browser, as totals. Because it stores nothing on your device, it needs no consent. We do not use Google Analytics on this site.

How we use your data

• Your email address is used solely to send occasional HappyBein updates by email.
• We will never sell, rent, or share your email with third parties.
• Visit counts are used only to see which pages are useful and to improve the site.

Who stores your data

• Email subscriptions are stored privately with GitHub (our code host), together with the date you signed up, the language you chose for our emails, and the consent you gave. Only the HappyBein team can see them. We do not use an outside newsletter service.
• Visit counts are processed by Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare also hosts this site), without cookies.

Tester feedback

When you send feedback through a form on this site (for example on the IntentFlow page), we store your answers and the device you chose. We do not ask for your name. We also show anonymous totals on the website, such as the average star rating and how many testers would recommend an app; these never include names. We do not ask for your email address there. Answers are stored privately with GitHub (our code host) and read only by the HappyBein team, to improve our tools.

Your answers, your star rating and whether you would recommend the app are shown on the website only if you tick the box that allows it and we approve it, and then without any name (as "A tester", with the kind of device). We may shorten it or fix typos, without changing its meaning. To have an answer removed, email contact@happybein.com; spam and unhelpful messages are deleted.

Surveys

When you answer a survey on this site (for example the IntentFlow survey), we store your answers, the date, and how long the survey took you, so we can spot rushed answers. We do not ask for your name or email, and we do not store your IP address. Answers are stored privately with GitHub (our code host), read only by the HappyBein team, and never shown on the website. To keep your place while you try an app in another tab, the survey also keeps your unsent answers in your own browser; they are removed once you send them.

Your rights (GDPR)

As an EU resident you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data at any time.
• Unsubscribe — every newsletter email tells you how to unsubscribe, or simply email us and we remove your address.
• Withdraw consent — you can withdraw your newsletter consent at any time with no consequences.

Cookies

This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Cloudflare Web Analytics (see above) works without cookies. If you once accepted Google Analytics on this site, its old cookies (_ga, _ga_…) and the stored choice (yv_consent) are deleted on your next visit. Our apps on yeahvibe.com, such as IntentFlow and ShopTools, have their own privacy policies and still ask before using Google Analytics.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
